Before I tell you to download Righchus' EP, Sweetgrass & Supras, hosted by DJ Ill Will, I want to say that many people have seen Righchus grow as an artist these past few years. As Charleston saw Righchus' album artwork of his first LP Chaos Theory, downtown Charleston, many people have Google the named and check out his work. For many other Carolinians as well as myself, we have seen his growth through his music live on stage. Righchus has opened for many artists, such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Curren$y, and Wiz Khalifa, just to name a few. The lively artist has a distinct sound for a Charlestonian. As many may say African Americans from Charleston are "Geechee" and are with the "Mix" movement, Righchus brings a sound that sets him out from the rest and makes him unique. When I hear Righchus flow, I swear up and down he's from the Midwest, he almost sounds like a young Lupe Fiasco. (Forgive me Righchus, I know artists hate being compared to other artists.) Don't let him fool you though. Righchus, 22 years young, he spits like he's been living life 10 years passed his youth. Now I tell you to download Righchus' EP, Sweetgrass & Supras, produced by Max "Benjamin" Berry. The question is can you handle his lyricism? Review coming soon.
